Delahaye 135M Gascogne, 1950
Delahaye 135M Gascogne, body by Dubos, year 1950. Chassis number 8013XX, engine number 8780XX. Colour dark blue with a red leather interior. This Delahaye 135M Gascogne is a fantastic and very rare 'grand routier', only 10 have been built. Not only the rarity is striking, also the originality! In the ancient past the body has been repainted and by now it shows age and traces beyond patina. The chassis, interior and mechanics are in very good original condition and the automobile drives absolutely fantastic. The Cotal pre-selector gearbox is a delight to operate and the sound of the six cylinder engine is almost magical. All original details are present, including the original radio! A next owner may never fully restore this time capsule, may be new high quality paintwork and nothing else please... This grand automobile is a fabulous driver and a high potential car for concours d'elegances. 'As is' in a 'survivors' class and partly restored with interior retained original in any suitable class. A sound investment with high potential for the discerning collector.
